They say love creates beautiful things and we definitely confirm this!

A city girl with no exposure to nature or olive oil and an agriculture-oriented IT engineer? Oh yes!

George and Marianna met and fell in love, bringing two families and two different worlds together when Marianna was re-introduced to real, quality extra virgin olive oil through George. It was love at first sniff and OLEOSOPHIA was born to share that revelation and aha! moment!

We are brothers, sisters, husbands and wives with the mission to spread the love for high quality EVOO of our local Manaki variety and the vision to cultivate Olive Oil Friends and Oleosophers around the world!

OLEOSOPHIA represents the wisdom of olive oil and the unification of two families, of the old and the new. Our family is happy to share this love for extra virgin olive oil with you, exchange ideas and form solid partnerships around the world!

Welcome to our family table and join us in our adventurous journey with OLEOSOPHIA!

Why join us & become an Oleosopher?

Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO) is becoming more and more popular as people better understand its nutricional value, health benefits and many different aromas and flavours it entices! It is a natural food that will help you enjoy a longer, healthier and, of course, tastier life - when chosen properly!

EVOO is a natural fruit juice that comes directly from the olive fruit, without any type of processing. Much like wine, the terroir and microclimate affect its aromas and organoleptic profile, making it a unique experience to discover and use in your cooking. As a result, choosing a high quality olive oil is very important!

The wisdom of olive oil and the many beautiful attributes stand at the core of OLEOSOPHIA.

We value the hard work we put into taking good care of our trees and into producing fine EVOO while we also respect the fact that olive oil making is a grand combination of tradition, art and science. That is why, under the guidance of our Olive Oil Sommelier, we organise and host olive oil tours, olive oil tastings, farm to table workshops, Q&As with the producer, webinars about health benefits, food pairings, olive oil sales communication for professionals and much more.

Our village, Kalentzi, is located at the base of Mt. Fokas, the mountain where the Lion of Nemea was born, according to legend! It has been the family’s base for three generations now. Blessed with a strategically mild microclimate and fertile land, the area offers a variety of products with excellent quality and authentic taste! OLEOSOPHIA is our family's Extra Virgin Olive Oil, produced by handpicked olives on our family grove, ensuring consistency in quality, flavour and aroma. OLEOSOPHIA is a limited edition product as the quantities are limited to each year's yield.

We are about 1.5 hours away from Athens, in the area of Corinth and about 15 minutes away from the closest coast, that of the Corinthian Gulf.

The area is popular for its olive groves and grapes, both rich in the local varieties, which we work hard to maintain, improve and safeguard through the difficult and ever changing climate conditions.

The Legend of Mt. Fokas

Standing proud behind our village, is the Mt. Fokas.

According to mythology, Mt. Fokas was the birth place of the Lion of Nemea, the terrible lion that Hera sent to hunt the people and face Hercules.

Throughout the years of Greek history, Mt. Fokas was used by different people for different purposes.

During the Ottoman occupation, it was used as a hideout and fortress for Greeks, who took advantage of its altitude to have a clear view of the plains and the enemy armies. Within the rocks of Mt. Fokas, a small church was built, which is a beautiful place to visit and enjoy.
